The mission of Harokopio University of Athens is:<\/span><\/p>\n

a) The provision of high quality higher education and the promotion of science, through the uninterrupted unity of studies and research.<\/span>
\nb) The production and transmission of\u00a0knowledge and innovation through research and teaching.<\/span>
\nc) The contribution to the formation of responsible citizens who contribute to society and the country with scientific and professional competences, responsibility and respect for the values of justice, freedom, democracy and social solidarity.<\/span>
\nd) The contribution through science to the development of the country, society and the standard of living of the citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harokopio University of Athens seeks to:<\/span><\/p>\n

a) Promote excellence in education and research and create the necessary conditions for the emergence of high-level young scientists.<\/span>
\nb) Promote the dissemination of knowledge, the utilization of research results and innovation.<\/span>
\nc) Contribute to lifelong learning with modern teaching methods, including distance learning.<\/span>
\nd) Take care of students, supporting them during their studies.<\/span>
\ne) Ensure the professional integration of its graduates, in interaction with the labor market.<\/span>
\nf) Continuously expand its international presence and cooperation with educational institutions and research bodies in the country and abroad.<\/span>
\ng) Promote the principles of academic freedom in research and teaching, respect for academic ethics, transparency, impartiality and meritocracy.<\/span>
