In the 1st/20.01.2026 Meeting of the Quality Assurance Committee, the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives were updated, which were subsequently approved during the 520/22.04.2026 meeting of the Senate.

Harokopio University continues to prioritize quality assurance in its strategic planning, investing significantly and systematically in the continuous development of a quality culture across all its functions and in all sectors of education, research, and innovation.
Quality Policy
Harokopio University has established and implements a quality policy which is reflected in the “Strategic Plan 2024-2028” approved by the competent bodies, as the achievement of objectives is assessed within the framework of quality indicators and achievements as defined by the competent Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education.

In this context, the quality policy at Harokopio University aims:
- at the accreditation of all Study Programs and their continuous improvement, with an emphasis on students’ needs and developments in the scientific fields they cover
- at the provision of high-level distance learning, through the utilization of modern digital infrastructure, the implementation of strict integrity mechanisms, as well as the application of evaluation procedures for them
- at the enhancement of research activity through synergies with other educational institutions, organizations, and public and private sector entities in Greece and abroad
- at the pursuit of excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship

The University’s quality accreditations are reflected through the operation of the processes and procedures of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), which is drafted, implemented, and revised at regular intervals to adapt to and comply with the quality criteria and regulatory framework defined by the European Higher Education Area and the principles and guidelines of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of Harokopio University has received a certification of full compliance from the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education.
The Institution’s quality policy is evaluated through the processes of the Internal Quality Assurance System. Within the framework of the Internal Quality Assurance System’s evaluation, the academic community participates critically and substantially, the administration commits to the continuous improvement of quality, and the evaluation results are made public to all stakeholders and interested parties through every appropriate means.
