The Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of Harokopio University is a functionally independent administrative structure, supervised by the Rector or the competent Vice-Rector to whom the relevant authority has been assigned. The mission of MODIP is the continuous improvement of the quality of the Institution’s educational and research work, as well as the effective operation and performance of its services, as provided for by its Internal Rules of Operation. MODIP is internally structured into the Quality Assurance Committee and the Department of Quality Assurance.
The Quality Assurance Committee of Harokopio University constitutes the central coordinating body for all quality assurance and evaluation processes of the Institution (Government Gazette B 1436/24.03.2022), is constituted by decision of the Senate, and consists of:
a) the Rector or one of their Deputies, as Chair,
b) five (5) Professors,
c) one representative of each category of staff provided for in Articles 28 and 29 of Law 4009/2011, as amended and currently in force, with voting rights when matters concerning the respective staff category are discussed,
d) one representative of undergraduate students and one representative of postgraduate students and doctoral candidates, where applicable, as members, as specifically defined in the Organization.
The term of office for the members of the Quality Assurance Committee is four years, while for the representatives of undergraduate students and postgraduate students, it is one year.
