With a strong presence in the academic and research fields, Harokopio University achieved a remarkable performance in the recent ranking of Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), based on the quality criteria set by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). Specifically, the University secured 4th place among 23 Greek HEIs, with a total score of 2.143 points, marking a significant rise from the 6th position it held in last year’s ranking.
Particular emphasis is placed on the performance of Harokopio University in Section A (Continuous Improvement of Core Academic Activities), mandatory for all HEIs, where the University distinguished itself once again by claiming 2nd place among Greek universities with 1.239 points. This score primarily resulted from the graduation rate within the standard study duration, the ratio of undergraduate to postgraduate students, and indicators related to the quality of its research output, demonstrating the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance its academic operations.
The University’s distinction in Section B (Excellence in Research and Performance of Academic Staff), where it ranked 5th with 417 points, highlights the significant contribution of Harokopio University to pioneering research and the international recognition of its high-caliber academic staff.
Harokopio University’s investment in creating a high-quality academic environment is further evidenced by its 3rd place ranking in Section E (Quality of University Environment) with 487 points.
