The Quality Data Management Information System constitutes part of the Integrated National Quality Information System (INQIS / OPESP) of HQA (ADIP), aiming to facilitate and simplify the collection process of quantitative data from the Higher Education Institutions of the country. Its goal is to support the accreditation procedures of Study Programmes and Internal Quality Assurance Systems of the Q.A.U.s (MO.DI.P.), as well as any other quality assurance process, through the provision of appropriate data.
The process of collecting quality data by HQA takes place annually within predetermined time frames. The data entered into the system refer each time to the previous academic or calendar year, depending on the thematic category to which each item belongs; they are quantitative and grouped into the following academic entities/units:
-
Institution
-
School
-
Department
-
Undergraduate Study Programme
-
Postgraduate Study Programme
-
Doctoral Study Programme
While for each academic entity, the data are indicatively grouped into thematic categories and subcategories as follows:
-
Institution Identity
-
Students and Graduates
-
Human Resources
-
Study Structure and Organization
-
Infrastructure and Services
-
Research Activity
-
Financial Data
-
Internal Quality Assurance System
The quality data form the core of HQA’s Business Intelligence System. Processing raw quantitative data enables the generation of all types of reports containing aggregated data and quality indicators that facilitate data analysis and presentation processes aimed at quality assurance. These reports are made available to HEIs, expert committees, and the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs.
